The members of EuroCCP’s management team, led by CEO Diana Chan, each have many years of experience in equity and derivatives clearing. The team is committed to its goal of establishing EuroCCP as the most cost effective and reliable provider of clearing solutions.
Chief Executive Officer / Management Board
Prior to her role at EuroCCP which began in 2007, Diana was Citi’s global head of Market Strategy and Market Policy in Securities and Fund Services. She has over 20 years’ experience in post-trade services at Citi and J.P. Morgan, with roles in strategy, market policy, product management, network management and financial control. She is an active member of public sector advisory groups focused on improving post-trade arrangements in Europe.Diana is a graduate of the University of Hong Kong and Harvard Business School.
Chief Technology Officier / Management Board
Albert-Jan was formerly EMCF’s Chief Information Officer. He joined Fortis in 2006 to help develop EMCF and has been responsible for all aspects of IT outsourcing and insourcing, as well as business development.Albert-Jan began his career in the finance industry developing an electronic trading system for futures for one of the Euronext predecessors in 1992. He was responsible for the migration of equity options in Amsterdam from floor trading to electronic trading. He held various management positions at Euronext in business development as well as in IT with an emphasis on derivatives trading.Albert-Jan holds a PhD in theoretical physics.
Head of Risk Management, Internal Audit and Business Control / Management Board
Arnoud was formerly Head of Risk at EMCF, a position he held since 2008.His responsibilities include overseeing the risk management processes and systems. He has a long track record in risk oversight and clearing, being previously Head of Risk at Fortis Clearing Americas between 2001 and 2008 and had risk-related roles at Object+ BV and Extra Clearing BV.Arnoud holds an MSc in Mathematics from VU University of Amsterdam, where he specialised in financial derivatives.
Head of Legal and Compliance
Blerina joined EuroCCP in November 2015 as Head of Legal and Compliance. Blerina began her career at law firm De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek where she worked primarily in Lending and Finance, M&A and Financial Markets. Prior to her role at EuroCCP, Blerina was Head of Legal at Optiver Europe, one of the biggest market makers and liquidity providers internationally.Blerina holds LLM degrees for the University of Utrecht (Corporate Law and European Law) and the University of Leiden (International Air and Space Law).
Head of Client Services
Brad joined EuroCCP in 2007 and is responsible for Client Services, including relationships with interoperating CCPs, CSDs and settlement agents.Previously, he managed asset servicing and middle office functions across global markets at Merrill Lynch, covering a range of products. He has over 20 years’ experience in the financial marketplace working for a number of major banks.He is a member of the Target2 Securities Harmonisation Working Group and a member of the Working Group for Harmonising Settlement Cycles in Europe.
Head of Sales, Marketing & Relationship Management
Mark joined EuroCCP in 2011 as Head of Sales, Marketing & and Relationship Management. Prior to his role at EuroCCP, Mark was General Manager of Clearstream Banking’s London office. He has over 30 years’ experience in senior customer relations roles in the financial marketplace. He has held sales and relationship management responsibilities in the global custody and settlement businesses at Midland Bank, HSBC and Clearstream Banking. Mark was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and read Engineering at the University of Greenwich.
Head of Product Management
Jan was formerly Head of Business Development and Strategy at EMCF and has over 18 years’ experience in the custody, clearing and settlement industry.Prior to joining EMCF, Jan worked at ING Securities Services and at Deutsche Bank Amsterdam where he held various roles within client services, operations, products and markets and most recently as Country Head of Direct Securities Services for the Euronext markets.
