The members of EuroCCP’s management team, led by CEO Cécile Nagel, each have many years of experience in equity and derivatives clearing. The team is committed to its goal of establishing EuroCCP as the most cost effective and reliable provider of clearing solutions.
Cécile Nagel, CFA
Chief Executive Officer / Management Board
Cécile joined EuroCCP in September 2018 as Chief Executive Officer. Cécile joins from the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) where she was most recently Head of LSE Markets Global Product Development and LSE Exchange Traded Products. She joined LSEG in 2009 and worked in a number of senior roles across the organisation including Head of Strategic Planning for the Group and Global Head of Equities and Commodities at LCH Group, LSEG’s multi-asset clearinghouse. Prior to LSEG, Cécile worked at Oliver Wyman, a financial services strategy consulting firm, and the Financial Services Authority. She holds a Master in Management from ESCP Europe and is a CFA Charterholder.
Chief Risk Officer / Management Board
Arnoud was formerly Head of Risk at EMCF, a position he held since 2008.His responsibilities include overseeing the risk management processes and systems. He has a long track record in risk oversight and clearing, being previously Head of Risk at Fortis Clearing Americas between 2001 and 2008 and had risk-related roles at Object+ BV and Extra Clearing BV.Arnoud holds an MSc in Mathematics from VU University of Amsterdam, where he specialised in financial derivatives.
Chief Financial Officer
Tom joined EuroCCP in February 2018 as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and has also been given responsibility for Operations from July 2018. His responsibilities include financial control, accounting, treasury, network management and operations. Before joining EuroCCP, Tom worked for over 20 years at (predecessors of) ABN AMRO where he held various senior management positions including CFO Capital Markets, CFO Merchant Banking Netherlands, CFO and later CEO Clearing Bank.
Chief Technology Officer
David joined EuroCCP in May 2019 as Chief Technology Officer. David has held senior technical management positions in London, Frankfurt, Paris and Geneva. In 2011 David joined LCH in London and helped build and launch their market leading Foreign Exchange Clearing Service – ForexClear. In 2014, Mr Hatton moved to Paris for LCH as Head of Information Technology for CDSClear.
David reports directly to EuroCCP’s CEO, Cécile Nagel and is responsible for setting the firm’s IT strategy and managing the IT function across infrastructure, application support and development.
Head of Legal and Compliance
Blerina joined EuroCCP in November 2015 as Head of Legal and Compliance. Blerina began her career at law firm De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek where she worked primarily in Lending and Finance, M&A and Financial Markets. Prior to her role at EuroCCP, Blerina was Head of Legal at Optiver Europe, one of the biggest market makers and liquidity providers internationally.Blerina holds LLM degrees for the University of Utrecht (Corporate Law & European Law) and the University of Leiden (International Air & Space Law).
Head of Commercial Development
Tim Joined EuroCCP in July 2019 and has extensive financial markets experience having worked for the past 10 years in senior client relationship and business development roles in major financial institutions including London Stock Exchange Group and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Tim Joined EuroCCP from LCH Ltd where he was a Director and Head of Sales and Relationship Management for equities.
As Head of Commercial Development Tim leads a team of eight people with responsibility for sales, relationship management, client services, marketing and product development. His focus is on advancing and growing client relationships, generating new business and looking for opportunities to create new products and services that address clients’ needs.
Tim reports directly to EuroCCP’s CEO, Cécile Nagel.
Head of Client Services
Brad joined EuroCCP in 2007 and is responsible for Client Services, including relationships with interoperating CCPs, CSDs and settlement agents.Previously, he managed asset servicing and middle office functions across global markets at Merrill Lynch, covering a range of products. He has over 20 years’ experience in the financial marketplace working for a number of major banks.He is a member of the Target2 Securities Harmonisation Working Group and a member of the Working Group for Harmonising Settlement Cycles in Europe.
Head of Product Management
Jan was formerly Head of Business Development and Strategy at EMCF and has over 18 years’ experience in the custody, clearing and settlement industry.Prior to joining EMCF, Jan worked at ING Securities Services and at Deutsche Bank Amsterdam where he held various roles within client services, operations, products and markets and most recently as Country Head of Direct Securities Services for the Euronext markets.
